The Revival of “School Years” (1975) — a Soviet Masterpiece in Astana restored
During a recent visit to Kazakhstan, we uncovered a long-hidden Soviet mosaic inside Astana’s Gymnasium No. 14. Created by Yuri Alexandrov in the 1970s, a 90 sq.m. artwork was facing destruction amid renovation. Thanks to our friend and restorer Yaroslav Antonyuk, this vibrant masterpiece has been saved and restored to its original brilliance.
